Recently I was on vacation in the states and where I come from going over there means one thing & one thing only: SHOPPING!! I mean don't get me wrong, we have plenty of stores here where we can buy stuff. But I got to be honest that some stuff (if not the majority) tends to arrive pretty late on shelves in stores here and that is if they ever arrive. And you also have brands that are not available here at all. Lately, this situation has been bothering me for beauty products. You go to stores that carry certain brands, but they don't have all that brand's products which is annoying. But let me just cut to the chase & show you all the beauty products I added to my "collection" recently.
I have to confess that I've been really getting into make up just recently. I'm more of the clothes & shoes kind of girl. And if I ever use make up, I like it to be as minimal & natural as possible. I don't like the cakey look at all & thats why (most of the time) I don't wear make up at all. But I just hope the following face products I bought will help me pull off the minimal & natural look I want.
Face products:
Formula 10.0.6 |
Before putting on make up, your skin care products are also important. As someone with oily skin, I'm always looking for products that can help my skin look less oily. After reading great reviews of the Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Cleanser & the Seriously Shine Free Moisturizer I couldn't help but picking them up. I haven't been using them long enough to give an opinion, but I will keep you guys posted.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Medium/Deep & Great Lash Lots of Lashes in Brownish Black. |
Originally I was looking for e.l.f.'s tinted moisturizers. As someone who is just starting her make up collection I didn't think it would be wise to spend money on expensive products, since I would be trying different stuffs & probably not liking them. But unfortunately the e.l.f. tinted moisturizers were not available in my shade so I moved on to my second option which was BB creams. I ended up getting the Maybelline one and I have yet to try it. I wish I could tell you why I bought the mascara, but I'm still trying to figure that out myself. But hey, it's my first time owning a mascara.
e.l.f. Studio High Definition Powder |
The reason I got this powder: "The e.l.f. High Definition Powder is a translucent, versatile loose powder that creates a flawless, "soft focus" effect to the skin. Masks fine lines and imperfections for a glowing, radiant complexion. This incredibly soft and invisible powder is ideal for everyday wear, either alone or over your favorite e.l.f. foundation." I just hope that it is true.
Lip Products:
e.o.s. Organic Lip Balm - Smooth Sphere (Summer Fruit)
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream (Strawberry Jam)
NYX Xtreme Lip Cream (Pinky Nude)
Softlips Tinted Lip Balm (Pearl)
Nail Products:
Essie (Bahama Mama)
Maybelline Color Show (Denim Dash 10)
Pure Ice (Cheating 540CP)
The only one I tried so far is the Essie. I love the color but I don't like the brush at all. But I've heard they have new brushes. When I googled it they seemed to be like the Sally Hansen ones I totally adore.
Candles:
I know these are not beauty related, but this completely shows how Youtube has taking over my life and there is no way I can escape it. I was bummed tho that not all the scents were as good as were raved about them on Youtube. So I just ended up getting the two scents shown in the picture. I'm planning on buying a couple more (especially the winter scents) in the mini size just like these, so I can try them out and decide if I'm going for the bigger candles.
I hope you guys enjoyed this little haul. If you ever tried any of these products please let me know what your thoughts are and if you know of any other good products that are worth a try please leave a comment and tell me
xx

ReplyDeleteWhere did you order the Bath&Bodyworks candles from? do you live in the Netherlands? I have been trying to get my hands on those candles, Leaves is the BEST! x
ReplyDeleteI was in the US a couple of weeks ago, there's where I got them from. Unfortunately they don't have international shipping. But if you know someone who lives in the US or someone who has a shopping delivery address in the US, it could make getting the candles easier ;)
