The first time I heard of Kate Upton was in 2011 when she was named Rookie of the Year by Sports Illustrated Swim Issue. From there everything started to roll for Kate. In 2012 Kate Upton was on the cover for Sports Illustrated Swim Issue, Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia, GQ and she was also the cover for Vogue UK's January 2013 issue.
After landing a spread in Vogue US and covers for both Vogue Italia and Vogue UK, I knew Kate Upton was carving the way for curvier models in the high fashion part of the industry. What made me even happier was the intention with which Alexandra Schulman, editor of Vogue UK, choose Kate Upton as cover girl. She hopes that this will be the start of a new fashion mood, furthermore she said :"It's very rare for a girl; to move from one area of the business to the other, largely due to the fact that fashion models are almost without curves, whereas swimwear girls are celebrated for them. When I decided to shoot Kate for our first cover of 2013, it was to kick off the year with a young women who is not a stereotypical fashion model - although, let's face it, she's hardly a heffalump!"
Do you think Kate is carving the way for curves in high fashion or is she loved just for her classic Hollywood look?

although she does mostly sexy stuff, and people consider it trashy, I like that there is a model in vogue and other fashion magazines, that isn't a size zero! and she really is beautiful:)
